The prize was claimed by Jackie Alston, 38, of Halifax. She bought the ticket at a Shell gas station in Halifax County. Alston worked for the Brunswick Correctional Facility in Lawrenceville, VA, for 15 years before resigning in December, the day after learning that she was the winner.
